How is pay calculated when a teacher is on a percentage?
For a percentage rate, the system takes the amount actually charged to the student's balance for that delivered lesson and accrues the teacher's set share of it. The percentage is based on what the specific lesson really earned — not on the student's entire payment history — so the teacher's cut and the school's share always stay in line with the lesson's price.
What happens if I forget to set a teacher's rate?
The lesson still completes normally — a missing rate never blocks your schedule or journal. That specific lesson simply won't accrue an earning until you set a rate on the teacher's profile. It's worth confirming every active teacher has a current rate before you close out the month, so no delivered lesson loses its pay. You set the rate once on the profile, and from then on all of that teacher's future lessons accrue automatically.
Can a teacher see other teachers' pay or the school's finances?
No. Each teacher has their own “My earnings” view showing only their own accruals: how much they earned today and this month, what's already been paid and what's still pending, and which lesson sits behind each amount. They have no access to anyone else's pay, to the school's overall finances or to students' money — that's enforced by role on the server with every request. So transparency for the teacher never conflicts with the privacy of the rest of the school's data.
